I tried to duo him with my merc. I am a 72 cleric with a tier 1 ranked warrior Merc. I got him to around 60%. he does about twice as much damage as a regular hynid in the same zone. I put PoV, HoT and chained Complete Heals and he still toasted my Merc who normally does well against mobs in this zone. My merc has around 12k hps buffed and didnt stand a chance. His Hp's dropped as much as 20-25% in one round at times. Not a hard mob by todays standards but still hits fast and hard.
Spent several days clearing the crags and hynids in the big open fields surrounding the big north temple in KT. Sometime during the fourth day I was able to get him to pop just north of the Summoner's Ring after clearing the fields. It drop the claystone AC aug, yay!
This thing hits hard (1300 max on a 3400ac/full shielding/full avoidance self-buffed WAR), quads fast, and has incredible accuracy (he'll hit you most of the time), so bring plenty of celestial healing potions with you. His average hits are around 500-600.
Point: Increase the spawn rate of this thing, please! Bring plenty of coffee with you if you want to camp this named. =)

Dropped Ashen Claystone Aug last night, among some other things including a Rune of Eril.
Spawned out in the field near Ikkhinz temple while I was camping Kyv for Sapphire Bulwark AC Aug.
Hit hard and fast. I was three-boxing with an SK 75, Chanter 71 and Cleric 71.

I was able to solo the other named, Cragbeast Rager, but not this guy. He just hit too hard and too fast.

everytime we have killed him has been in the big field with all the other hynids and cragbeasts, from what i have seen nameds can pop just about everywhere and all models have a named or two that can pop, just get to a nice lil spot keep killin and soon enough you'll see one.also i have been told that certan names have designated PH's inside temples dunno about that for sure but i can say i have yet to see markmaker,battlestratigest etc anywhere but in or around a temple

Where does this guy spawn? I killed Hexxt Bonegrinder today. He was a wandering mob ib the canyon between Gazak NPC and Aroley NPC, at the corner where it turns from south to east.
As of June 3rd some GoD spell drops have been changed.
The following spell drops have been replaced with Taelosian Geomancy Stone Yiktu. The spell is received when the turn in is done in The Abmysmal Sea to Reyfiln Malakwa.

This is not entirely correct, I believe it is a random turn in for certain classes, as I turned in the rune Yiktu and got the druid spell Sylvan Embers (when turning it in on my druid). I have also seen Sylvan Embers drop from a named mob since then, so these spells do indeed still drop in their native form.
Spell: Turepta Blood dropped yesterday from this animal.
