Killed her 6 times today... 5 "Cockleshell Girdles" and 1 "Barnacle-Studded Bracer". No seaweed wraps yet.....

Killed her today,after 6 PH kills.Dropped the Wraps,she summoned me twice, and these were visable on her as she swam by before my pet ripped her a new one.

Killed all potameid on track. She pop on first wave of repop and she have the Abysmal Seaweed Wraps :) when she have it you can see Green sparkle around this hand :)

Camped this mob for probably about 4 hours today. Totally boring and frustrating camp. :) At first I kept getting dissoriented and could not figure out where to go to kill the PH sirens. Tracking is very helpful for this.
However, after a while i learned to draw an approximate 'line' across my in-game map so i knew about where they wandered. That made things much easier in terms of finding the mobs.
To date, 6 nameds. 3 belts, 3 bracers... still looking for my baby monkies new weapon. :(
Update: Yay, finally got the Wraps on kill #8.

No you will not be able to solo her. Even with 57 earth pet with full set of summoned armor and weapons and aego she will eat the pet alive faster then you can heal. You will need a healer or at least someone to slow the mob. And mage pets have no where near the hp of the mobs in this zone unlike walkamoungus suggests. 3Khp earth pet vs 5-6Khp animal mobs.
The 57 earth pet can take out Vimidon which is the weakest of the named mobs but you will blow most of your mana bar chain healing the pet. At 56 you will stand no chance unless maybe using epic pet.

you should be able to, i can solo her with a DC hynid and mage pets have much more hp than animals, and with virt on your pet you should be alright, just be ready to throw a few heals, she hits in the 300s and summons. pet weps will definitely help you take her down faster.

Nope Loggmeister was right, not a chance. Me, 55 Magi, had earth pet with all best summoned goodies on it bought in bazaar, tried to solo her and she made a speed bump of the pet. Barely gated out in time. I have been soloing the Entrapped Potameids however, usually takes alot of mana and pet health, so long recovery time after, but it can be done.

Just started looking for this gal a few weeks ago since I run through Natimbi otw to KT. 1/3rd of the time I see her up on track. Not a tough solo for a Ranger. I use tangleweeds to piss her off, will usually pull her away from other mobs (usually dont get any adds) and do a toe to toe fight with her. After earthcaller hits, its a trivial fight with just selfbuffs. Am at 50% usually when the fight is over.
Of 5 kills, 3 girdles, 1 bracer and 1 gloves. Girdle is garbage, 120 tribute. Gloves still make a few pp, I gave the bracer away. I figure the gloves must be her rare drop.

Killed her with my lvl 60 bst today wasnt that hard with my self buffs on pet and myself. Had full mana starting out had 25% when done with fight. Didnt get my wraps = ( did get a bracer. Don't have to pull her to shore just far enough in from other mobs with enduring breathe all is well = )

At first I thought the method to spawn her was to simply kill all the potas as any of them might be he PH. but every single time she has spawned it has been the same place... underground! roughly -3000 2000 and then she paths eastward. I've seen some of the potas spawn in the same place, and quite a few other spawn underground but in different places. I'm thinking she has a PH with about a 20% chance of spawning her... I've had her spawn as fast as 5 minutes and as slow as 3 hours. she drops the seaweed about 3/5 times.

has around 10K ish hp -- Strike of Solusek hit her down fast.. can Root/ snare her. can find her somewhere in the SW area of the zone - past the drop off in the water. havn't seen any mob out past neg3000, ****.. though.

my 55 bard can not charm anything over level 51 so no you can't swarm kill this lady -- but you COULD probably swarm kill her friends and make sure your charmed pet always attacks her so you get her HP's down before the chanting begins. 8)
Thats how I deal with swamp rats and the higher level diseased rats while swarming flies in PoD.

Actually tried this -- the entrapped potameids ewre too high to charm most of the time so they are also 52ish.

Seems to be a random spawn, not sure if/what placeholder is exactly. Was killing the sirens and she popped, killed her and within 10 mins she popped again. Got handwraps on second kill using only my 65 druid. Killed her yesterday in the morning and didn't see her for hours later.

Dropped her last night 3/30/04, she was up right after patch, as were several other named in zone. I had camped in zone and when server came up, logged in.
Dropped a Fierce Cragwalker, Swift Scavenger and saw that this was up. Loc was about –2600, +900. Followed the mob before kill.. it does wander.
Ads were crazy. Got kill and loot (Bracer) but died.
If I try her again, I will probably nuke or DoT, root and snare and then run off a ways and wait for root to drop. Once root drops I will run to the flats just across from zone in and fight her there.
She seems to hit in the 200's. No casting. Not a lot of hitpoints.
Yeah.. adds are crazy as agro range under water seems to be greater than my vis range.

If you have to even ask if you can solo a dark blue non casting non summoning mob as a bard then you probably can't -- but not because a typical bard couldn't. 8P

Well, when i went for her I had 2 guildies with me and found that she does summon, she summoned me all the way to shore, had 35% when reached shore but it was all over when the guidies started to hit her, no she didn't drop the wraps that I was looking for and have killed her twice now. Got the Bracer both times

She wanders around, I've encountered her in many different spots and haven't identified a placeholder yet. Can't see much of anything down there.

I went out to find her with my 65 monk and 65 druid bot.
She looks like a siren and has a wandering path. You cannot kill her with a group. Simply because there is so many wandering mobs in the water. Everytime I tried to attack her i'd get 3-4 adds and with swimming druid kept getting interrupted.
She hits for max 300, and the Abysmal Wraps are visible when she has them (green orb). She has relatively low HP.
For strat, I tried to pull her to the shore, but it's a really long run and she'll stop following after a while and go back to her path. She is snarable and rootable, and her resists are pretty low, so I just ended up rooting her underwater and dotting her to death. After I casted a dot, i'd immediately use AA insta-invis to avoid aggro. Took a few minutes for her to die, dropped wraps. It's an okay item, but not worth the risk. I wouldn't suggest a group trying to go out there, the more people you bring the more dangerous it becomes.

Killed this mob the other day with me ( 65 Dru ) and a 65 BST.. she was easy as heck to be honest. Dire charmed pet and BST pet covered the few adds we got and we were able to wipe her out with little fuss at all. Killed her in the water where we found her. Anyone know if the other potamide's are her PH's or is she just a timed spawn? Would love to kill her again... and again ... and again hehe but haven't seen her up since and killing all the potamides we could find didn't spawn her.

With patience she (and the other sirens/potamids) can be pulled to the shore - just need to make sure the puller does some damage (a DoT is best) and pauses to let her catch up on the way back.
It is a long pull and the sirens do give up easy if you move too fast - which can be an advantage, makes it easy to single pull her as her friends give up and go home.
