61 SK and 65 Warrior spent all day camped for named. We kept killing mobs on entrance way in to named and on tunnels both sides. this seemed to spawn mobs and named quicker. Named spawned 4 times - each time dropped cloak. fifth time dropped wand. took three hours and i went up one lvl.

Killed him on Mayong today. Killed the PH once, then he spawned, then dropped wand. Took about 20 minutes.
Have been camping the wand for some days and finally got the wand. One of the hardest part is that when the wand is camped by others sometimes a whole quild will take turns for days getting wands for everyone.
Seems you can only cast on yourself as I could not shrink my merch cleric, not sure if you can shrink your pets.
A level 69 monk can solo the area well. Just watch out for the Elder ones as 3 can tear you up fast at level 69.

Well i have to say that you really need to want this item badly if youre going to go camp it!! Ive read post about peoples lucky enough to get it on first spawn but most peoples have to test their patience very badly before getting their hands on one of these wand .... and of course im one of them =(
3 days of camping, endless spawns without the nameds ... and when he finally does drops nothing else than this cloak!! Being one stubborn person i finally got it after almost 22 hours total

I've been camping this guy on and off for about 3-4 days or so, sometimes few hours at a time, sometimes maybe 1 or 2 spawns. This camp was unforgiveable to me.
First off, it either spawns a regular mob, any kind thats around the area, and is rare spawn itself. I have seen it spawn up back to back at times and give me nothing but the cloak, god i hate that cloak.
What is did was tuck up in the corner and have the gaurd to named/ph's left aggro me and also pull named/ph, only pulling the 2, made it easy camp for me.
I was hoping he might hold the wand like some mobs do, but he does not, he never weilds the wand or any items for that matter, so good luck people, very nice clicky.

This is behind the three in the tunnel, in front of our main goal. It is to the left of the large pillar extending up into the ceiling. This spot is relatively safe. Wandering a few feet either way will aggro a mob either in front of you, or behind you. Play smart, and play safe.
The Map and Getting There
http://www.mapfiend.net/map/thedeep Take the Invisible Bridge, go south until the first right, enter the tunnel. Follow the tunnel until you can go North, all the way up. Turn Left. Follow the top path until there aren't any other turns or options on the way to Koxiux the Imperceptible.
Mobs
Warning: These mobs are not mezz'able, nor are they charm'able.
In general, I found myself being hit for between 10 and 168 hit points. My Armor Class is 858 without buffs.
"a thought horror" is an enchanter that will happily cast Howl of Tashania, Discordant Mind, Immobilize, Invoke Fear, with a lower chance of dispell. Luckily, as all enchanters do, this mob has a low HP.
"a thought horror evoker" is a wizard and will cast the general line of wizard spells - fire nukes, ice nukes, magic nukes, the occassional root, and a rare dispell.
"a horror gaurd" is your standard melee mob, unable to cast with a noticably higher HP than the caster mobs you will encounter.
"a thought horror spiriter" is a necromancer that seems to favor "root" with an infrequent "ignite bones", "chilling embrace", "asystole" or "incinerate bones". He's not very quick to summon a pet, like the thought horror, so I've never given him a chance to do it.

Koxiux is a wizard, and spawns in front of the blueish rock like in the screenshot, at location neg 284, pos 2369. Any of the other mob types listed above can be placeholders.
Almost any mob in this dungeon can spawn as a see invis mob randomly. To get to this camp without fighting you will either have to have some way to ditch agro or to Pacify or be very lucky. If not, be prepared to fight your way through some spots. Con everything and plan accordingly. Start in fully buffed and with your battle spell set memmed. You really probably want to avoid the elder thought horrors that are south of the hallway leading to Koxiux. They are much higher level than the trash around them and hit much harder. When coming to camp the wand, come from the North.
15 minutes or very close is the respawn timer for these mobs.
Nothing here summons.
Koxiux is immune to Snare/Root spells but trash mobs are not. Everything is stunnable.
Koxiux is immune to Pacify spells but trash mobs are not.
I've soloed this camp with a 60 Paladin. Using invis potions, Pacify and fighting when needed to get to the camp. Pacifying to break camps, stopping runners with chain stuns and rooting. Potions make it easier but shouldn't be necessary.
The enchanter mobs haste everyone around them. Pulling with Dispell isn't a bad idea here. The necromancer mobs will heal mobs near them, which can get annoying.

Umm, I think everyone failed to mention that the mobs leading to it hit for around 500 hp. The posts make it sound like you can just go in there and kill it, so wasn't too happy when my 65 necro came in there and got mauled. Well equipped too =(
How hard they hit will be different for everyone depending on ac and shielding.
You do have to figure, that the back areas that he is found in, was considered somewhat higher end when the level cap was 65, and ac maxxed around 1500ish.
At level 70 , and then 75, it just gets incredibly easy. I dont think one would hit for much over 150 with 4k+ ac and level 75.

Had a 69 Shaman and 58 Bard going to this guy. Those elder horror things hurt, especially 2 of them. They enrage at 10% HP. Random mobs see invis through the caves. Sometimes you will get a part of the tunnel where you can skip a few lines of mobs, sometimes each line will have a see invis. Just take it slow, especially when you get to the elders. I dunno many classes with 4K+ AC (3?). I know my 72 Necro has no where near that;) Neither does my 58 bard or the 69 shaman lol
Btw, all these mobs run when low HP cept the elders, so you better have a way to snare cause if one gets away to another pack it's likely to get healed and keep on running into more and more packs of mobs. Found this out the hard way.

ok, well, I finally gave up on getting the wand from this guy. killed 30 PH's, and he finally spawned... and he dropped the robe. came back a while later, killed 10 PH's, and no sign of him. I think I'll stick with potions, thank you.
EDIT: a guild member got one, linked it, and after feeling bad about it I went back to the camp the next day and tried for it again. after 12 straight hours, I finally got the wand.. I never want to see koxiux again, but im glad I finally got it.

I ran my 66 druid (5kHP/6k mana/1.4kAC self buffed)in here fully self buffed(no crack, even pots). I encountered 1 see invis mob at the entrance before the bridge. I took the north route and followed it down to Koxiux. There were 2 see invis on the way, but if you run past them carefully they should not aggro. Run and carefull being key words here =)
When I arrived at camp, I ran to the far right corner behind where Koxiux should spawn (PH was up at arrival). I clicked off invis and only aggroed the PH. Cake fight, conned LB to me. I just dotted him up, nuked a few times and made sure to have the thing snared. After camp was clear, I rebuffed, medded and camped out. I managed to run my 54 necro here pretty easilly, only fumbling with the see invis mushroom right after you cross the bridge. FD is a great thing. Got to camp, saw him up and immediately camped out. Logged back into the druid, aggroed name and 1 add (does not seem possible to aggro any less than this). I worked away at the add first, since it seemed to hit harder and had more HPs. Add went down fairly quick then I started work on the name himself (sort of funny, being a halfling druid I am used to all mobs being larger than me, much less names). Dropped Koxiux quicklike, and to my astonishment saw the wand. All in all it took less than an hour to farm for my alt on the same account. Good luck with it!

this guy has GOT to be broken..... i've been at the camp (loc is posted several times here) killing the spawn for over 7 hours now.... and i still haven't seen the named pop.... WTF???? this guy broke or what?
7 hours camp for this item is nothing. Even when you do get namer to spawn you are gonna be pissed cuz i would say about 90% of the time he drops the cloak. It is a long camp. Best thing to do is kill the PH and afk until respawn - just keep doing this and will eventually get it.

This is quite the annoying camp. Have spend a few hours a session here for the past week or so. I am a Gnome but would like the shrink wand so I can use illusions on raids and shrink myself when needed.
As a 75 Pally this camp is quite easy, I do Paci pull Koxiux, just because it makes it easier to not have to keep clearing and clearing. But so far I have probably gotten 10 straight cloaks, no wand yet, but I am current camping him as I type this so hopefully the next go around will get it.
Seems to be Koxiux 1 out of every 3 spawns or so. Keep him stunned if you're able to keep him from running away, but his HP's are pretty weak so he probably won't get far.

If you were able to get Koxiux in 1/3 spawns consider yourself very lucky. I got him on second spawn, and then went a full 6 hours not seeing him again, clearing the entire camp every 14.5 minutes...then in last hour I got twice. Still no wand.../camped at the spawn...hopefully it will be empty when I get home from work today.
Got the wand today off my first named. He doesn't hold the wand if he's got it, which I thought might have been the case. His camp has been a pain to solo, due to snare running out just before re-application a few times causing me to wipe from adds. Overall the camp is easily solo-able, just gotta watch out for some pathing issues and adds. The named itself was even easier than the camp , he meleed much less than the other casters, and spent most of his time wasting mana bouncing spells off my resists. He is unsnareable though, so I had to bard-nuke him at the end to avoid adds.

I was able to get to this camp without fighting the see invisibles along the way using sneak where appropriate. To avoid fighting all 5 horrors that surround his spawn, I was able to (with advice from guildy) invis into the corner. Use the back right corner as you look towards the dead end of the tunnel. When you drop invis, you should only get 2-3 of them to agro. After you break it, it is even easier, as you can pick off the spawns as they pop usualy one at a time. I managed this as a not so well equiped ranger with no buffs (had to clear the camp to self buff up), since I never think to do it before I make the invis run.

I soloed the entire way in and the camp itself as a 72 cleric using only self-buffs. Using some reasonable gear, nothing spectacular (non-raiding cleric). Didn't paci-pull either.. took out 4 or 5 at a time.
Took me for 4 kills to get the wand. A LOT of PH's in between spawns.. total camp time about 4.5 hours.

Don't know what you were doing then. I soloed this camp easy without a healer as a level 70SK. No HighEnd raiding gear just 2000AC, 8000HP, 80AA, Epic 1.5
learning how to split them out will help.
Also, sounds like the sk needs to drop hp augs and get some ac ones. It will make things so much easier
At 70, you should have been able to handle the whole room with a healer.

Is anyone having problems with his spawn time after the patch for the Serpent's Spine expansion? I've camped this guy for 5 hours straight and not one time has he popped.. I usually get him every other pop give or take one, this isnt normal
Me and a couple of friends were there two days ago (Sept. 30th) and he spawned 2 or 3 times...Every time he dropped the Cloak though =(

I have no idea what the drop rate is on the wand but after camping it on and off for Three years i got two back to back and one more two hours later.
I camp this spot for ore and i see it drop occasionally but don't expect the drop rate to make sense. You may go three days without seeing one or you might get it back to back but if you go there for the ore and consider the wand a bonus it makes the whole experience tolerable.

I am a level 70 enchanter. During this camp, I had Ethereal Rune, Clairvoyance, Speed of Salik, Mystic Shield, Feedback, Illusion: Fire Elemental, Gaurd of Druzzil, and Conviction the entire time.
I brought one stack of Distillate of Celestial Healing X just incase things got a little out of hand.
My spell line-up for this camp:
Theft of Thought
Scryer's Trespass
Forlorn Deeds
Feedback
Psychosis
Pacification
Howl of Tashan
Greater Fetter
Ethereal Rune (Ninth Spell Slot AA)
HP: 7210
Mana: 7873
I have 245 AAs, but those are not necessary in order to keep this camp in check. A decent mana pool, at most, is necessary.
Having the Animation Empathy AA is helpful, but not necessary, to hasten kills. I would not recommend allowing your pet to attack the mobs at their spawn points. Overnuke, aggro the mob, and bring it to...
The Camp Spot
-247, 2276, -70
Breaking The Camp
This should be enchanter 101. You look at the mob that will run straight at you, which happens to be right in front of you. You pacify all the mobs around it. You pull the mob with slow, and you rune-tank it. If you want to unmemorize feedback in favor of one of our "impressive" Damage Over Time spells, that will aid in DPS. The Fire Illusion gives a 20 damage shield, and Feedback gives an 11 that stacks with it. If you do not have a primary weapon, these will be your "melee damage" for the duration. Otherwise, psychosis on a frequent basis will keep you aggro (which, because of that damage shield, is good) and keep that mob dying at a fast enough pace to keep ahead of repops.
Tips and Tricks
Use Theft of Thought and Scryer's Trespass on any casting mob, if mana is even at 80%. This will help you keep ahead, and give you an edge at times.
Slow every mob that is on you. Pets are unnecessary, but it may help to alieve some damage potential they think they have.
If you think it might add, pacify it.
At 25%, root it and keep it rooted. Nuke as hard or as light as you're comfortable.
Final Note
I refuse to list the time I spent here, the time between the named popping in place of the "Place Holder", and the number of times I killed the named in order to achieve my goal of obtaining a lovely little shrink stick. This is because these results are irrelevant. They give false hope, or unnecessary despair. The random number generater hates everyone. Everyone. Except beastlords. But, beastlords get a shrink spell.
I am a level 70 enchanter. During this camp, I had Ethereal Rune, Clairvoyance, Speed of Salik, Mystic Shield, Feedback, Illusion: Fire Elemental, Gaurd of Druzzil, and Conviction the entire time.
I brought one stack of Distillate of Celestial Healing X just incase things got a little out of hand.
My spell line-up for this camp:
Theft of Thought
Scryer's Trespass
Forlorn Deeds
Feedback
Psychosis
Pacification
Howl of Tashan
Greater Fetter
Ethereal Rune (Ninth Spell Slot AA)
HP: 7210
Mana: 7873

This has to be one of the worst camps I have worked on in a very long time, and for nothing but a self shrinky, which seems to be silly if you ask me. It should simply not be this hard to get such an item..
I have spent about 30 hours here on and off for a week, and roughly 5-6 hours per camp session, still nothing but cloaks, which are pathetic.
Other then the spells *for alts* and ore drops, this camp is an all-day event, pack your lunch and put your feet up, you will need a long solid run to get this thing.
I still haven't looted a wand, and I am up to about 40 hours, I refuse to sleep again until the thing drops.

First day at camp he popped 2 out of 6 spawn cycles with two cloaks.
Today went in and camp had been freshly abandoned, mobs popped a minute after I got there. Name popped and wand dropped. Lucky me.
70 wiz and 70 mage was waaaaay overkill. Also dropped a small brick or block or whatever of yttrium ore.

As a 70 pally using the spell Ward of Tunare this camp was very easy. the only hard part was breaking the camp, killing like 6 or so mobs at once and even then its easy with this spell. Other hard part was gettin to the hall where the ph is but still doable with Ward of Tunare. And after i broke camp, i logged for an hour or so, came back and 2 ph's later, kixiux spawned and he was very easy, i didnt let him run away, just chain stunned until he died : ) and yes he dropped the wand.
only spent maybe 1 hour total for the whole thing.

This camp is as brutal and mind numbing as as the original Ragefire camp. Thank you sony for making such a neat item so unfun to obtain. I appreciate it.
Loc is neg 280 pos 2376.
Thx to Archerplate of Necrotalk.com for posting great info on this mob.

Guide to getting The Wand of Imperceptability
Getting There:
http://eq.crgaming.com/data/maps.asp?Actio...cription&Id=145
http://www.mapfiend.net/view.php?map=TheDe....txt&bg=b&id=91 - downloadable
Looking at the map, you will see a fork (2 dead end tunnels) on the far west side of the zone. The spawn point for Koxiux the Imperceptible is 2nd to last mob at the end of the bottom tunnel. He, or his ph will stand just in front of the blue rock at the end.
To get to this location you can go 1 of two routes.
1) Cross the invisible bridge and go north to the tunnel system, follow this (its the long way to get there) all the way to your camp. This, while taking longer, is the safer route as there are few (sometimes none) see-invis mobs on the way. If you come accross a see-invis you can usually just hug the opposite wall of the tunnel to get by. If not, just use normal FD flopping to get there.
2) Cross the invisible bridge and go south to the tunnel system. This way is a slight bit riskier as there is a 3 spawn of elder thought horrors that you must pass that do see invis. These can be a bastard to get by even using HS, so the safer route is of course the above. Choice is up to you.
Setting up Camp:
You have made it to the tunnel, now standing at the entrance to it you will see a 3 spawn a little ways in. You can choose to kill these, however, you can skip them entirely and just move on by to the camp spot. The spot I used was about halfway between this 3 spawn and the 5 spawn that is at the end of the tunnel. There is a big rock in the middle that I would stay just to the right of. It is safe there to un invis, get your pet out, buff, etc..
Breaking the Camp:
Spell lineup should be, Petrifying Earth, Snare, ToM, SK, and whatever other dots you wanna throw in. To break this camp you are going to pull using root. This will never get you more than 2 mobs if done correctly.
The following is the spawn locations at the end of the tunnel (#5 of course being the end) and they are numbered in the order that you will kill them.
---------------5
------3
--4
---------1
---------------2
-----(rock)--you
Pull as follows:
1) Standing in your safe spot (to the right of the rock that is in the middle) root #2. This will bring #1 to you, pet tank, tap tank, however you wish to kill it just do not move around and aggro sh*t.
2) #1 has died, #2 should still be rooted. Root rot him or nuke to break root and have your pet kill, it does not matter as long as once again, you do not move around.
3) Your now left with three. Do the same procedure as above. Only this time you are gonna root # 4. This will bring #3 which is the PH or spawn. You have a little room to work with now so kill as you see fit and then finish off #4 leaving you with the last spawn (#5) at the end. Kill him too.
The camp is now cleared and you should have a good 5 mins to sit around before they start to respawn. Once broken it is child's play to keep it cleared, Just setup in the far end of the tunnel and kill as they pop, it could not get any easier.
The Named:
Koxiux the Imperceptible cannot be snared or rooted. This means that when you get him to spawn you must, and I do mean must nuke him down as he starts to run. His pathing leads him out of the tunnel and you will get the 3 spawn that you skipped as adds. Other than that the guy is stupidly easy to kill, shouldn't need need any pointers for this fight. He has a supposed 50% chance of spawning but I saw it more as a 25% chance. When you kill him he will have either a cloak or the wand. The cloak is the common drop and wand drops maybe 30% of the time.
Overall a very easy camp to solo and the reward is well worth it, specially for those of you that raid
