Are these things Fear-Kitable? I know not snarable, but can they be feared? As in Panic animal?

One of these just spawned on top of one of the rocks along the East shore. Had 23,047 HP, hits pretty quick. Dropped the Greatsword of Shadows.
Does not summon.

Drops Ethereal Parchments, and I once got a Greatsword of Shadows (I think 34 dmg / 35 delay, 2HS, war/pal/sk/brd/rng weapon, other stats) or something. They spawn rarely in place of gamite frogs.
