I have been clearing stuff in the pit, and have seen this thing be a Dark Elf, Barbarian,and Ogre both Male + Female.... just fyi.
These sob's sure do flurry alot- max hit was 568, avg was 323. As a 75 monk, i was getting stunned almost every other round, was kind of annoying. 14khp 2.5k ac EQPlayers Profile

I have not been summoned by any mob in the pit. I have killed all types bar stampeding piglet and his entourage.

Oh well i was soloing in the pit, saw one of this, slowed, but the mofo frenzy, so he pretty much eat my pet :D

Drops loot whe not holding weapon, can drop SP with weapon

Just killed one b/c of the info the post below...but dropped nothing.
I guess it could drop specs, but then again anything in this zone can drop specs from what i understand.

You can find this mob in the pit area. He drops a spectral parchment most of the time.

Drops specs, yes, but not often.
It appears to be the random named spawn of 'a zek initiate'.
I've killed this mob on 25 different occassions, and it has dropped a spectral parchment 21 of those times.
Definitely a "Common" drop from it, and it would also seem to be of a high frequency.
Much higher than the random pit mobs at the least.
