Attempted Jiva today as the 4th out of 5 minis I've soloed. Have done Dresolik, Xuzl, and Rizlona successfully previously.
Jiva was not too bad, the adds are all green to 84 and seem to be a bit easier to kill than the other zone trash.
Fight took about 14 min total. Now to kill Arlyxir...

My self (79 sk, 80 pally and 72 Cleric tried hime today. We could not get on the platform that Jiva stands on. Mobs started spawning every 30 secs but we were not able to melee Jiva. Is there a trick to getting on platform

The adds will spawn one at a time on the following text: Jiva says 'Seif, to my side!'
Adds were handled just fine with a 74 war and 80 zerker.

downed by three monks, all 2.0 anguish/demi gear, two of them switched off aggro with jiva while another killed all the adds, took about 7 minutes. pushover. dropped the rune etched bamboo bo, and I forget what else. t'was easy.

5 boxed today on Seventh basic strats .... i had 2 monks 1 war 1 beast 1 cleric ... basic strat was my 2 monks waited for adds and pwned adds every 30 to 45 seconds when they popped ... war and beast both stayed in the middle of room on Jiva ( jiva is perma rooted ) .... the room that you pop into with the 2 guards of Jiva repop very fast so you cant stay in there but maybe 5 mins ... basically just move into Jiva circular room ... put tank on Jiva ... Jiva can be fully slowed by a beastlord ... make sure you kill adds very fast as they can CH and getting 3 or more means wiping

what's the HPS on Jiva dn the pops and what do they max hit for? if n e one knows it would be most appreicated if u post=) Ty.
The one time we've killed him while I have been around my guild he dropped this sword. Ok sword, but usually rots. This is one of his more common drops, REBB is one of the rarer ones from what I've heard from other monks. If you're gonna kill him make sure to bring along a paladin =P

That is just dumb of you, to completely base your raid plan and strat around 1 persons post

We did Jiva last night and saw the top three spawns, but not the last two. That leads me to believe that the spawns are time based (30sec?), instead of being correlated to the health of Jiva.

Anyone know the spawn time on the Sol Ro minis? is it the standard 3 days most pop stuff is, or is it shorter like BOT towers?

We did Jiva today with 5 groups Including 2 Enchanters and 2 Bards. He spawns adds every 20-25 seconds or so. Casters fought from the opposite end of the room, any Melee's fighting on the Platform. 2 Paladins assisted the Bard and Enchanters on Crowd Control. Following Jiva Kill Adds were then killed and Jiva Dropped the Bamboo and the Black Basalt Band, a SP and a GRW.

Slowable, debuffable, etc. Mobs pop through out the fight, they can be off tanked or mezzed, not sure if rootable. We had an uber (time) 65 bard and a pretty good 65 chanter doing CC. With any reasonable amount of DPS and CC this guy will be a cakewalk.

Jiva dropped an Ornate Silk Bracer today.
Sure it wasn't just one of his efreeti friends he pops during the fight? Those things drop armor fairly often in my experience.

BBB and REBB seem to be his common drops. Not that I really mind, since they are the best drops. Just curious though, do the swords still drop? We've killed Jiva half a dozen time and have only seen BBB and REBB drop (never 2 staves, but have had 2 rings drop).
