Moloed (soloed with merc) with a hasted Razorfiend Subduer last night as a 70 chanter with level 70 T2 healer merc. Paci'd his three friends and pulled with slow, then rooted when he reached me. Sic Razorfiend, back up, Synapsis Spasm, Colored Chaos nukes, maintain Spasm and root, took mebbe ten minutes. Dropped Quill and Signet.
This area is beautiful xp for a 70 chanter with 300ish AAs, I get 11%-12% aaxp or just under 1% normal xp per kill. I'm wearing a mix of Elaborate Defiant, SoF gear and DoDh gear (Dripping Grimcoat ring for example) as well as a wrist from Colossus of Skylance, and few augs. Eldritch Rune and Ward of Bedazzlement (the level 70 version) make charming here a snap!
Mnesis Obscura, Erudite, 70 Enchanter, Harbinger of Notions
Mephistopheles Ascendant, Child of Atathus, 72 Necromancer, Herald of Winged Agony

70 beast, semi-well geared. was doing fine until i couldn't hit one of the subduers around him. no matter where i moved, "your target is too far away get closer!" message. had guardians and other subduer down. tried to work on sleep-walker but "unhittable" subduer was like a bad dot hangin' on me and then the repops started.
let warder and merc cleric take aggro and gated out. either one of the subduers has tinist hitbox in EQ or the cave is a bit buggy.

Attempted to duo him with my Druid. Druid is 59 mind you, but his mana was fine, I got him down to about 90% and gave up (succor'd). Problem wasn't his HPs, my HPs or Druid's mana. It's the DPS + repop. I would've gotten an add from behind me and died most likely. If I had a clean shot at him without worrying about repops, no doubt in my mind I could duo em, but yes, massive load of HP and not too bad regen. GL all.

heheh this mofo likes to ramp a lot ... just be ready for that ... and sorry druids but he summons. fun fight tho, just pull him single, however you can, be ready for the rampage and he shouldn't be too tuff for a decently equipped group (single group 60+) to handle him. the ugly pile or rocks dropped the ring and the waist on Vazaelle tonigt. cheers!

"smell my mule"Took The Sleep Walker down today on Saryrn at 6:21 pm. With a group consisting of a 61 warrior (myself), 65 shadow knight, 62 ranger, 62 cleric, 65 shaman, and 62 necromancer, we FD pulled the Ancient Guardians around The Sleep Walker. Once they were taken care of, we proceeded to pull The Sleep Walker. Was a long, tough fight for this group but we managed to take it with no deaths. Sleep Walker dropped an Ethereal Parchment and The Cartographer's Quill. While I was hoping for one of the rings to drop, it was a fight worthy of the loot. -Hanar

Dropped him three times in one day recently. All three times he was a yellow con to level 65. On the pulls, we cleared the north side spawns and the roamers. Then used Harmony on the two Ancient Guardians and the razorfiend behind him.
He is part of a 4 pop that are real tight. The Razorfiend is not always visible and he wanders arround behind the Sleepwalker. Make sure you take care of him.
I snare pulled and either used /ws to tank until slow or slow was landed before he made it back to camp. He needs two or three snares to follow. He is probably leashed to the room as he does not like to move.
As soon as slow is in, MT needs to get agro asap. Then just beat him down.

Don't know what his HP is, but I know that he has crazy regen. Last night we tested him twice while camping IC, and had to evac both times as the healer was running low on mana.

Did him last night with a full group and a friend of mine. 65 War, 65 Shaman, 61 Pal, 57 Pal, 58 Ranger, 55 Monk, and a 61 Cleric. The fight lasted awhile... I was able to use Thunderkick twice before he went down.
The camp he's at isn't that hard to split. Just make sure you get behind the rock to stay out of the line of sight, otherwise you get to eat some hits while he's casting before FDing.
Dropped Signet of the Valorous and eth parch.

We dropped him twice tonight in the span of 1 hour, Very Lucky for him to pop back to back I think. First time dropped him with 65Sk, Cleric, Shaman, Chanter, Ranger, 62 Cleric, Monk and a DC mob--- He dropped Cord, Quill, and Spectral Parch. Second time we killed him with IC and OC together, but he only dropped the ring, Nice))
Was in the cave this weekend for about 10 hours and he spawned. We killed him with a single group. Monk(with lots of AA's) tanking and a shaman, cleric, and some other DPS. Then not even 10 mins later he spawned again, and we killed him again. Got Ring, then belt. Shammy was only one that needed, so he got both the lucky stiff.
Anyway, the slow/dot is curable with pure blood. I imagine it's curable with other disease cures.
He's not too bad, but you will want to slow and cripple as soon as possible to lessen that rampage. We got lucky on the first kill and got a pet on rampage, not so lucky second time and cleric got on rampage, but we still managed to pull it off.

Killed the yellow version tonight with 2 shammies, SK,Pal, Enc, Brd, Bst, Clr, Rog and a Dru. Was a overkill slow landed first attempt and it was cake from there. He dropped the Quill, the Ring and a Spec.
Killed the yellow con version with 5x65s, RNG/RNG/WIZ/CLR/SHM with myself (RNG) tanking; was trivial. Full slow landed, hit for 900 max, had a silly DD proc
We moved into IC camp in PoV as it was the only camp left, once we cleared the final tunnel leading to IC we noticed The Sleep Walker was up. Group started out as a mixed exp group, had 65 SHD, 65 ENC, 65 CLR, ?? RNG, ?? WAR and 2 65 CLR's outside of group for spot healing.
SHD was tank on each attempt, WAR was rampage tank on first attempt, ENC on second attempt. On the first attempt, WAR died from rampage, then we wiped due to non tank types being on rampage. The second attempt, we got add from mob being fought too close to repops, and wiped.
Finally on the third attempt, and reorganizing the group to - 65 SHD, 60 CLR, 65 ENC, 59 RNG, 56 NEC, 63 SHA - with 2 65 CLR's outside of group for spot healing. The ENC had paci'd all of the mobs around the back wall near The Sleep Walker, and the SHD pulled the named with festering darkness. As the mob was incoming, the very next person to hit the mob (to set the rampage tank) was the RNG, by striking with his bow. As the mob was incoming (you really have to pull him, as he stops before he gets close to the group)., the SHA slowed, SHD terrored. We tried to keep him against the wall so that nobody would aggro a repop while we fought.
We didnt need as many healers as we had, but it was useful since the SHD was tanking and was only 6644 hp, 1434 AC.
This guy hits pretty damn hard. The SHD purple clubbed once, and the RNG twice. Nobody else was ever hit by the named, and we fought him with group close. It took about 8 minutes to kill him.
Revenge is so sweet, 4 hours after arriving at the camp, and two wipes later, named dead, and he dropped 2 Band of the Visionary, and an Ethereal Parchment. The NEC and 60 CLR won the rings.
The best advice I can give is, have a good rampage tank, have at least 2 healers, one to keep rampage tank alive and one to keep main tank alive, and try and get some good DPS through a charmed pet or some 65 ROG/MAG/WIZ. You shouldnt fail.

killed him not to long ago and didnt know he was this lvl or hard. killed him in like a minute or 2 with a group of 65s and 60. just know it was him cuase the drop he droped a parchment dont remember which one but he also droped the quill truefully i wasnt paying attenion and a cleric got the quill and i thought it droped off the lumbering beast we was in the cave cleared and they started repoping and you know how that goes swords ablazing and just kill and fighting everything did have a extra shammy and a chanter hanging around from 2 folks in the group but other than that he was easy didnt cast anything left zone soon after so not sure about respawn time but quill was nice
this guy was a pushover, killed him he dropped signet and cord, rolled perfect 100 on ring and sold for 30k, farm cash from him lol
Camped inner cave for 6 hours keeping all pops clear. Sleepwalker never popped. No neck drops from ancient guardians in the same time frame. 12/8/03
We took him out last night: 65 Chanter, 64 Beastlord, 63 Druid (me), 63 Cleric, 58 SK, and 55 Cleric. He conned red to the chanter, so must've been lvl 68. Chanter had a Razorfiend Suppressor pet with some nice mage summoned items, fully buffed (probably more so than us). Cleared out inner and harmonized the surrounding mobs. Bst pulled him and pet went in. Clerics took turns healing the pet and I healed anyone else that needed it. Pet lost aggro a few times and we lost the 55 Cleric, the BST, and I died too. The other 3 stayed alive and finished him off. He dropped Quill, Signet of the Valorious, Spec parch, and Eth parch. Was a really fun fight. He popped again about 10min later and was yellow, but it didn't go so well the next time. Pet turned on us and I had to evac us out when chanter died.

guild group was doing xp in the cave tonight and this guy was up, none of us had ever heard of him before and he conned red to me at 62 but we decided to try him
we had a paly tanking, cleric, ranger, bard, shaman and myself, monk
it was a long fight and it took every bit of the cleric and shamans mana but we took him down
according to my log file he had 120k HP
with bard song all my resists were over 300 so i only got slowed twice thru the whole fight and it doesnt last long
rampage almost killed me a few times :)
he dropped the quill and the signet ring, both very nice items

Quite an easy fight for one group. You just need a decent cleric, a decent slower, and a decent tank. The DPS can be filled in with the remaining classes. Just harmony/pacify nearby mobs and snare pull him, this gives your slower multiple chances to insure the slow lands before he reaches the group. If your puller is a SK, then the slower doesnt have to worry about aggro at all even from resists. If the SW reaches your camp unslowed, someone is going to die quickly. He likes to quad for 925 and do the little glass proc for 375. He also has an
AE slow/dot wtih a 300DD. High Magic Resist helps a ton against his spell and the normal glass procs. GMR should always be on anyway due to the fact the guardians and beasts proc glass as well.
Basically once you get him to camp, turn him into the wall, unless you have an AM3 ranger (they hate that). Keep all the casters well out of melee range, this includes you clerics who like to melee! The rampage can do over 3k in dmg in seconds, and its not good to cause your healer the extra stress. The tactics needed are simply to hold aggro, keep the casters out of rampage range, and budget mana. The fight is a fairly long one for one group, but as long as you dont run out of mana, pull aggro, or let the MA die, its a very easy battle with nice rewards.
Incidentally, he is not on a specific timer, a close friend of mine had him pop back to back, about 10 mins apart. So, apparently he has a chance to appear on a fairly diverse timetable. I've camped Inner for 27 hours straight (for AA) and never saw him once. So, he's not really campable, just more like a nice bonus to whichever group is xping at the time. As for loot, ladder rolls are my preference. Everyone has a shot to win, and if im with friends I actually am happy if they win instead. Hope this helped.

Did him today with a semi full group, awesome SK tank and Shammy to slow. Clerics Kei ran out after fighting the mob to 40%. I almost got eaten by flurry, but managed to pull through it, every mellee had died by the time we got him down to 3% but the shammy still had some in him and managed to get the kill.
Was impressive since he was only real healer after cleric went OOM. But he dropped two bands of the visionary and parchment, I won one ring(62 beastlord) and one of the warriors won the other. But since the cleric could use the ring more I passed it on to her as a nice little pressy. Needless to say she was very happy (Gratz again lethalangel). I could have done with the Pp from selling it but, just didn't seem right.
Also not long after this kill we took out a guardian and he dropped Guardians Token, although I didn't win that.
Its a fun fight, but no sign of him after that and i was there for about 15 hours or so getting levels

An hour before the patch hits, people are clearing out of PoV, and all our Ranger says he's up. Camp check? Inner's open! I've never seen this guy pop in all the time I've spent in there, it was nice to finally get a shot at him =)
I don't recall the levels on everyone in the group, but I believe almost everyone was 65. Someone invited a couple friends along, and I made a raid group out of it.
We had: Paladin, Warrior, Cleric, Shaman, Ranger, Wizard, Mage (x2)
I tanked it. With CA3 and ID3, max hit was 925. Slow stuck easily, it was overkill with the extra people there. Rampage almost ate the cleric though =p
Dropped: Cartographer's Quill (Czixt), Spectral Parchment (Meridiaen), Ethereal Parchment (Loui - ninja looted, omg!)

Yay for 5 year olds that posts make no sense and then they link fake profiles along with them!!! I mean at least make it believable, that AoW Bow is pretty sh*tty going with all the PoTime drops you have, would expect you to at least a stonewood compound bow or one of the elemental tradeskill bows considering bows are mainly rangers primary source of dps. I'm gonna make a little guess in saying you were the lvl48 mage that was given the quill. Be nice to see a post a little more information then "this guy's a noob" and then fake profiles listed after it.

stonewood compound bow has less damage then war bow of rallos zek ..
Link to this post 1 reply
It has less damage yes, but the delay ratio is much better. 42 dmg to 37 delay on the compound, while the rallos zek one has 43/45. more DPS on the compound. The range is much higher as well. And as for the stats upon each bow, the compound is much better for a ranger. A warrior would like the Rallos one better, if they were into using bows more than having another item in that slot, but a ranger is more dependant on a bow than a warrior.
Now yes this is coming form a wizard, but I do not believe that its too hard to see the benefits for a ranger on the compound over the Rallos.

The Sleep Walker was level 67 for us today. He is a standard monster warrior class. He is easily single-groupable. You can pull him either with FD or by pacifying the surrounding three mobs. We had one fun incident where my pacify failed and I pulled all the mobs. I was planning on sacrificing, but the cleric had other ideas and ended up pulling everything onto the group for an instant wipe. For most of the fight I had a dire charmed pet, but he ended up on rampage partway through and splatted, so I charmed an add we had gotten (kept him slowed though, to reduce the risk). Here's the data:
Max hit is 963 (doubles). He rampages often, and this is generally the most difficult aspect of it. I am usually on rampage for at least part of the time, so I have to keep a lot of mana around for recasting Arcane Rune. He parses out to around 150,000 HPs (or less). He is slowable, does enrage, does summon. He does not have an AE as reported previously, except for his constant rampage. Clerics almost always run low on mana during these battles, so it's good to keep a backup healer in the group (shaman or otherwise).
I will include some DPS values here as purely reference material, even though they are very subjective. Against our fairly well-equipped 65 warrior tank, SW did 192.59 DPS. A rusted suit of mail (my DC pet) with Speed of Vallon and Focus of Soul did 78.82 DPS against SW. A razorfiend subduer (CoD-charmed) who was 75% slowed for the battle did 65.33 DPS. A shaman pet with SoV did 18.27 DPS. SW did a total of 120,000 points of damage to our group.

Correction to the above post..as of last night he did have an AE slow of some type called Sleep Walkers Haze. It was a short duration proc that lasts for about 20 secs but seems to proc often. He did not enrage when we fought him but did rampage often. His max hit on me was 907 and minimum was 179. HIs avg hit was 359. Went down fairly fast with no problems.

On 6/23/03:
I, 63 ranger , pulled him out by using harmony on his guards. The rampage sucks, cause I was fortunate to be on it, but it sometimes was more then 30secs betweeen rampages.
He did not seem to casting that AE anymore, nor was it a proc becuase I was also lucky enough to tank him for the last 25% of his life. Some one missed a heal on the warrior or something. And our fight lasted at least 5 mins, we would have noticed.
Also found out something i didnt know, cause i am rarely on rampage..U can dodge it.
He dropped both the rings too, that is all

Killed today, 63 wizard (me), 65 war, 64 chanter, 65 ranger, 65 mage, 62 cleric.
Snared him no problem. Slow landed, got one resist through the entire fight. Used fire AND cold based nukes. Draught of Ro landed well. Ice Spear landed well. Mob has an enormous melee range. Mobs surrounding TSW can be harmonied for a simple single pull.

Found him once - he was red to 65 ------- one group can kill him, just takes a little time to split ... watch out fo the weird pathing that the ancients so
No way he has a 3 days repop , my group camping Inner cave killed him 2 times in a row in less than 1 hour , 2 quill nothing else , crap :( . He is a PH boss type like Myconid king IMHO , not a timable repop like a Kunark dragon .
Silly question maybe but does anyone know if these guys are considered summoned or not?
This mob was up and killed twice yesterday. I won the quill the second time. :-)

It looks the same as the crystalline golems or lumbering beasts that you see in PoV, who also share the looks with geonids (who are not as vicious as the ones in PoV though, unless you killed them too much ofcourse).
Does this guy exist?
I have been fighting in the wastle land for ages and still no sign of him at all

This guy doesnt spawn in the wastelands,he spawns in inside the cave as a rare spawn
Ages? Whats Plane of Power been out for a couple weeks now? Unless you are a drovlarg and are going by dog years or something you have a poor conception on time.

Who is this guy's PH, and where is the PH located in the cave?
