Did this npc as well as KoS and went on to kill saryn. now, i get a " You attempt to recall your defeat of Saryn, but whenever you try to focus, you feel a searing pain on your arm from seer. I went through all the flag ( pre and post) and it seems to come to this. Was there something i had to hail or what?I have all TT phrasing correct from seer, and bertox as well. Do i have to do this part of Sayrn agian? This is all that is keeping me from EP flag.. any help?

Did you hail Tylis after KoS? One raid we had several people tell Tylis "I wish to return" without hailing him. He doesn't give you your flag unless you actually hail him before you say "I wish to return".
Useful info: Mareeq the Prophet had a max hit of 1359 last night. That was around 10% after he had already transformed into a big bug.
Mareeq is tethered and cannot be pacified. The bugs that he spawns heal him and cannot be stunned or mezzed (you get the message "your spell would not have taken hold") so the trick is just to ignore them and max DPS Mareeq to get him dead.

Killed him today, dropped a miserable Ethereal Parchment for us.
He switched forms at around 50 % HP and turned into a big "twisted crawler".

Beforehand our RL laid out a scheme where we got all the casters to make a wall on the stairs so the little crab guys couldnt get through but that didnt slow them down a bit. During the fight Maareq moved around right down into the left stairs which is where half of the raids casters were standing. Imagine our surprise when he poofs and is replaced by a huge crawler that AoE ramps and kills practically every caster on the steps and most of the melees! I had the common sense to back off so I did not die but still lost about 4k HP's while everyone else in my group got wasted. The change happened at around 15-30% for us. Maybe it happens sooner or later depending on how many of the little crawlies get though or perhaps not at all if you kill him fast enough but that is a warning to you all who attempt to kill Maareq.

Did him today.. used a diffrent tactic, just let the little buggers get to him and bring more sword swingers and rogues for DPS.. worked fine.
Very simple stuns dont work
Did him NR on Drinal server about 1:40am EST. Key is to have Chanters AE Stun his little ons so they dont get near him. other than that...crazy DPS...Keep tank alive. He hits hard....got me for almost 1800 without rampage. Just have the MT turn him and beat him down in corner..

The minions could not be stunned, and they are absorbed into Maareq, healing him.

Also can drop a Spectral Parchment which i looted off him minutes ago. (only drop)

Not sure which happened, but this encounter is either bugged or ninja-nerfed. We're just trying it for the third time now.
The Minions are unstunnable.
Not immune, not resistant. The stun just doesn't effect them, much like they're not even there. They also cannot be mezzed, and according to our melees, couldn't be meleed either. They acted almost like they were charmed (which they were not, at least by anyone there)
So a steady flow of Minions came in to Maareq. Kinda makes the encounter a smidge more difficult.

Does anybody have any specifics on him? Appox mx hit.. Effects ETC ETC. Also the Mini him's.. can they be done with a terris like move with AoE stuns+ nukes?

human guy up on platform we rushed him both sides.. Have LOTS of capable chanters for this chain stunning. he spawns mobs as he goes down in health and last time I saw the spam of the chanters chain stun\mezzing them it was around 30 or so by the time he was dead. they despawn on his death.
