Took maybe 15 minutes, fighting to her was more annoying :)

At 75% we just fought the adds down, only had like 5-6 Spawn.

at 50% Beast moved out to avoid dispell--> Rebuffed Warrior

at 35%, we just slowed and tanked the adds down :)

We just did it with 1 group to flag some alts/bots. Group was Anguish+ geared. Monk MT, 3 clerics, 1 ranger, and 1 enchanter. One cleric sat outside TT's room in case. Monk tanked TT down. Monk, rng, and 1 of the clerics melee'd the butterfly adds. Paused at 45% health to rebuff after the dispell. Rng kited the gargoyles untill after TT died.

All adds are immune to changes in Runspeed (unsnareable and unrootable).

Adds will summon so if your going to kite have to make sure no one has a DS up or aoe's the gargoyles.

Once the gargoyles become targetable there is a few seconds pause between then and when they come after you so there is time to use an agro spell to get agro. As long as no one heals the kiter your fine.

Potions are great for this fight... both to rebuff and to heal yourself.

Wife. I hate Cazic Thule and read all the lore about him I could. Turns out he and Terris were both responsible for the fall of Grobb (go figure) and Sebilis. It seems like Thules have something about destroying their followers and letting the frogloks move in. Read all about it in the lore for the Legacy of Ykesha and Runes of Kunark expansions

One of the more entertaining first-tier PoP flag raids is Terris-Thule, found in the Plane of Nightmares (B). You will need to have gotten your flags from the "Hedge event" in PoN before you can zone in to PoN(B).

This raid can go one of two ways, depending on how well your raid force LISTENS and REACTS to called-out instructions at several key points during the battle....

...but lets start with setup:

For this encounter, you want a standard mix of all classes. Pets are perfectly fine on a TT raid and are quite helpful. Nukers... can never have too many nukers on this one, as at the end this raid will become potentially hectic, and blasting her down fast is a big big help.

Most important in this raid is to have reliable OFF-TANKERS and KITERS. Those last ones... the kiters.. should be heavily buffed on AC and HP's, and be experiensed in kiting very nasty mobs and keeping them away from the raid force.

You do not need any particularly nifty or advanced CHeal rotations or any other overly clever tricks for this raid, other than what I list below in the strats:

Strategy:

Firstly... when you buff up for this raid, you MUST have some of the buffers SAVE their MGB buffs. Do NOT use them all, you will understand why in the next sections. SAVE THOSE MGB's FOR THE FIGHT.

The route to TT is through a long, twisting valley which has some trash mobs at various strategic locations. Some of them are on horseback. None of them are anything amazing... just zerg the crapskies out of them along the way and dispatch of them quickly. Do the same with any and all mobs who are located around the big dome you will come to... it is inside that dome where you will find Terris-Thule. Get everyone up on the zone wall outside the enterance to the dome, and give your last minute instructions, rebuffs, etc.

Like many raid mobs, Terris-Thule (TT) does a few nasty things when she gets to certain levels of health...

(1) At 75% health, she will summon a bunch of "butterflies" who will immediately be all over your raid force. This is not a problem, because I have just told you it will happen hee hee... just be ready and when she is at say... 77% life... have someone in raid shout out "BE READY FOR BUTTERFLIES AT 75..!!!" or some such. Once she summons these butterflies, EVERYONE get OFF of TT and attack and quickly kill those mobs. The only ones who should still be paying attention to TT are your MT, a rogue perhaps, and a cleric or 2 who are keeping them alive. Absolutely NO ONE ELSE should be attacking Terris-Thule... all of you should be whacking and bashing and nuking those pesky butterflies until every single one is dead. Once they are all killed, call out "BUTTERFLIES KILLED" or whatever, and all of you jump right back into the fun and whack the crapskies out of TT.

(2) The next critical point occurs when TT reaches 50% life. She will cast an AE Dispel which will strip all of you of 12 buffs at once. Basically, you will be fully de-buffed... except for one thing: we can run away. Have the raid caller make a hot key that shouts out "EVERYONE OUT OF THE DOME..!!! EVERYONE OUT OUT OUT NOW..!!" etc etc and when TT gets to about 55%, hit that message and EVERYONE run OUT of the dome and get up on the nearby zonewall and wait. The same MT, rogue and healer team will remain behind and whack her until she hits 50%, and blows off her AE dispell. Once she has done so, that crew should shout out "SHE NUKED... SHE NUKED" so that everyone knows it is safe to run back in, and re-engage TT. Immediately re-buff the team who stayed inside as soon as you get back, using MGB's which are the fastest way to get their HP's and such back up to par. This was why you saved those MGB's... to quickly rebuff anyone who was caught in her AE dispell. NO ONE SHOULD RE-ENGAGE TT UNTIL THOSE WHO WERE DEBUFFED HAVE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF.

(3) The nastiest part of this encounter happens when TT reaches 35% life. Have your expert kiters ready, because at 35% she will bring those 4 large gargoyle statues in there to life. THESE GARGS ARE NOT TRASH MOBS... THEY CAN TRIPLE AND QUAD FOR 1100 DMG PER SHOT..!!!! They are easily the nastiest part of this encounter, and if you are not ready to deal with them, they can and WILL wipe out your raid. Again... have your caller shout out "BE READY FOR GARGS..!!! BE READY FOR GARGS..!! KITERS GET READY..!!" when TT gets to about 38% or so. When the gargoyles attack, have kiters immediately aggro them without damaging them too much, and then KITE THEM around the outer area inside the dome... keeping them away from the main raid force and occupied until they can be dealt with. Druids and shammies... keep an eye on those kiters, and patch heal them as necessary. You do NOT want those gargoyles peeling away, and attacking your raid force when TT is still alive. Keep them busy; we will get to the gargs soon enough.

As you give your final instructions outside the dome for this fight, have everyone in the raid repeat "75...50..35" over and over again until they hork... that way, you will always remember to keep an eye on her hp's and be ready to act.

(4) Once the gargoyles have been pulled to the side by your kiters, the rest of the main battle is cake... just start blasting away with your nukers until TT is dead... it will not take more than a minute to drop her last 30% or so. Then, PEEL AWAY the gargs from the kiters one at a time and everyone rapidly kill them... now that TT is dead, your MT can tank them without any distractions. CONTROL THE GAME... DO NOT ALLOW THE GAME TO CONTROL YOU.

Hail the Planar Projection, and get your flag. You are now flagged for Plane of Torment. Zone in to Torment, then go hail the dwarf in PoK and get your free AA point.

Summary:

Save MGB's for the fight... buff up the old fashioned way.
Have everyone remember: "75.. 50.. 35"
Make hot keys so you can call out instructions rapidly.
KITE THOSE GARGOYLES and do NOT hail the Planar Projection until ALL of them have been peeled off your kiters and killed.

If everyone was properly briefed, and acts as soon as they see the proper raid calls... this encounter is easy peasy, and a ton of fun.

Great post ! We used it to take down TT tonight.

If I can add a few notes :

1. If someone else fails the script, and the butterflies spawned, then they stay up, so be careful of them.

2. If TT runs into the wall, she pops back to her spawn point and we think she loses all debuffs. Be warned. This is how we wiped the first time (suceeded 2nd time).

3. Once slowed, a 2 man CH rotation is enough on TT. Unslowed you need 3, and if she hits the wall and pops back, make sure you have 3 on the cycle.

4. The butterflies are almost immune to fire and cold, in fact they may well be totally immune. We used AoE stuns and AoE Magic based nukes to clear them. First time they caused trouble ), second time it was easy. They don't hit very hard - I can't remember getting hit for more than 170 odd.

5. We kited the gargs, but brought them in too early, and nearly lost the raid. Make sure your kiters bring them in only when called to, and everybody keeps their focus. It is too easy with TT eating the dirt for everyone to lose concentration. The gargs hit damn hard and killed more people than TT did. The main tank and CH rotation didn't get a chance to establish themselves and it was a bit messy. They have a lot more hp than the trash mobs leading up to TT.

6. The rebuffing went well, we were all ready for it. We didn't bother running out of the room, we just had every non MGBing healer spam heal the MT until buffs were reestablished. The CH cycle kept on going regardless.

7. Lastly, and probably most importantly : Make sure everyone knows how to get to the hedge. You'll be amazed at the number of people who don't know how to get there, even with the flag ! We ended up with a massive number of creatures in the hedge, and lost a few people.

All in all, we wiped on 1st attempt, then ressed and buffed and won on second, with 6 out of 41 dying. So pretty good going :) This is a great event.

I dropped her on Bristlebane two days ago. She was fairly easy. At first, we had the MT rush her and grabbed agro. When she reached 75% of her health, she spawned her little flies and we took them out. There were plenty of them too. Took one or two minutes to kill them all.

Then, at 52% all except the clerics and MT ran out of the stonehenge and had the rangers stand at the door way. They shot her down to 49% and then we headed back in to fight her. When she reached about 35%, the gargoyles spawned. Now, this got us into a little trouble. Most of our tanks died, except the ST (who was on TT all the time, after that the MT died) and one or two more. The gargoyles went loose all over the raid, but we managed to kill them one by one (I got hit for 1100 twice, ugh :P).

Once they were dead (took us five mins or so, I believe), we were all on Terris again and took her down. About 10 - 15 minutes in total to bring her down.

She dropped a cloak and a shoulder item, plus a few parchments. And I got my flag, lol.

About 45 people were in the raid.

Saturday night we went in and burned her way too fast. All scripts triggered and we ended up wiping with her at 4% because we had all the butterflies and all the gargoyles on us at once.

Round 2 we did it the right way, paced, and ended up winning, but there was odd behaviour...

Since the butterflies weren't killed in round one, by the time we got back for round two they were still up, standing in front of TT, waiting for us. We managed to split them and killed them outside the arena.

Now, when TT got to 75, she spawned the butterflies again, as normal, so we killed them, as normal. But, when she got to 50 or so for the dispel, we ran outside the arena, and the butterflies spawned again - but this time they spawned outside the arena - where we had killed the leftovers from round one. We dispatched them, and the gargoyles spawned at the correct time, and the rest of the script ran normally.

Just thought I'd post a heads up in case anyone else runs into a similar situation with having to do TT in 2 rounds - you may end up having a couple of waves of butterflies.

We took her down with a 47-member raid of avrage lvl 61. We sneaked a few unflagged people in with the 80% rule - best method for this is to kill the guards in PoNA, make raid with who flagged, have them all but raid leader zone in and get him/her to invite unflagged into raid and them zone in once in raid, untill no more can enter the zone. This needs to be done pretty fast tho, otehrwise the guards will re-pop and kill the uninvited members still outside.

I just did this encounter for thefirst time a few weeks ago. This has to be the most fun encounter I have had yet. I mean one mob where you do everything!! First normal assist MT and debuf and nuke. Then AE. Then back too assisting MT. MGB after debuff..Then lastly kite the gargs around the dome while TT gets downed. Pick off gargs and any adds because of respawn. hail the projection and hand out loot. All in all this was a blast for me. We whiped 3 times before we got the hang of where the flies spawn, and the clerics got to where they could time to ch's right after the mass debuff. Then we almost whiped due too not having our kiter grab aggro fast enough and the garg going to town on the casters towards the end. I can't wait until I can down her again.

Ok this is how I kill her. I always do Open Raid on all mobs. First off need a good raid force.. bout 5 or 6 tanks and a good number of clerics. need at least 5 or so. What happens is once you aggro her she is just a normal fight until she gets to about 75% health then she spawns alot of butterflys.. What I do is take ALL dps off of TT and only leave the MT and a rogue on TT. Then have all my tanks off tank a butterfly and kill them all 1 at a time. This will take out the butterflys rather easily. Then once they are all dead.. We resume fighting TT.. once she reaches 55% health I have Everyone but the tank and the rogue and the 2 clerics that are healing the MT leave the dome.. but once left the Ranged attackers i.e. Rangers and nukers.. Can still attack from afar. Once at 50% she will cast an AE 12 buff debuffer.. Once she done this everyone is to run back in and make sure that MGB is saved for this.. After the Debuff MGB all your needed buffs again and resume fighting. Once to about 35% I again take the DPS off TT and have the other tanks go to the Gargoyles in the corners.. she will make them come alive at 35% health.. You can kite them away as well.. But I find it alot safer to just tank them.. Now these gargs are no push overs, they quad for about 1100 and have many HP's.. But once the gargs are dead then you can resume Killing TT and there will be no more interupts.. After she is dead Hail the projection and get the Torment flag.. This is the strategy that i use to kill Terris Thule.

"Terris-Thule is known as the Dream Scorcher or the Nightmare, for her effect on the sleep of dreamers. She rules the Demi-plane of Nightmares and delights in torturing the innocent as they rest. She is tall, well over six feet in height and skeletally thin. Her skin is pale with hints of gray. Long, black fingernails extend from her bony hands, to match her slinky gown. Her face is smooth - no features mar its sleek surface other than two empty black eye sockets. Long black hair flows back from two massive brass horns at her temples."

Fun fight. Took her down tonite with 47 peeps, think we lost 8 people, most when the MA bit it (keep uproar chaining on MT, ethereal heals to start encounter) and before agro transfer to SA took place. Think we had 6 clerics there. The advice on the spawns is good here, on the gargs you get a message from TT right as they are targettable. Keep gargs under control and you win :). Didn't use raise dead at all (only had 2 necs anyway and raise dead pets only do 50 per hit).

If you're a well oiled machine and work well together, this is doable with 6-8 groups, maybe even less. Made us feel even better that a rival guild failed 6 times with 64 peeps :P (they even got better gear hehehe).

It IS ass tho that a god dropped 4 ethereal parchs (shoulders and veil too) which can come off any teir 1 farmable mob. WTF is SoE thinking on loot tables? Anyone here doesn't NEED ethereals any more.

One more thing, the planar projection is indeed a fast leaving bugger, we had a lost corpse and someone missed flag. Definitely does NOT stay up as long as corpse is there, Id say 10 min MAX.

First of all Terris Thule is not an encounter she's an event. You can't just head into the wind expcting to hack at her until she falls on her face. When you first pull Terris everything is normal like any other mob that melees hard you tank her. The fun starts to happen when she starts losing significant hitpoints.

At 65 percent health Terris summons an army of butterflies (these are the same mobs found in PoN) to assist her. They don't have many hitpoints but they hit hard and fast. You can't ignore these adds as there are to many and will tear your raid to peices if you don't get them under control and dead as soon as possible.

At 50 percent health Terris gets mean and decides to cast a one time AE dispell. This ae is unresistable and will strip at least 12 buffs from your character if your within her lair when it goes off. This is annoying as it drops the entire raid base Hitpoints, mana, and mana regeneration. Rebuff quickly.

At 15 percent health (possibly more) terris once again summons minions to aid her. When you first enter her lair you will notice 4 gargoyles within. One gargoyle is sitting ontop of four different pillars in each corner of her lair. They are massive. These gargoyles are untargetable until Terris' hitpoits trigger them. When they come to life there is a brief moment where they stay at the top of the pillar and are targetable. After about 3 seconds they crawl down the pillars and mutilate anyone with hitpoints beneith 35 percent. The gargoyles are purely health aggro. If someone drops under 35 percent health they emmideately aggro onto that character until either the character dies or is healed. Be carefull with your healing.

The key factor in accomplishing this event is to keep most of your damange on Terris once the gargoyles spawn. If you lose control of the gargoyles and move damage off of Terris you will lose. Once she's dead a planar projection spawns. Hail the planar projection for your flag. It's believed that the projection will stay as long as Terris' corpse is in the zone unlooted. Be careful because as soon as the corpse poofs so does the projection.

In a nuttshell there it is. One of the most fun encounters in the game.

I will just clarify a few things. The butterflies she spawns happens at 75% Terris Thule HP. There are about 20 of them, hit for around 200 max but die fast. You can AE Mez them and most are stunnable, and slowable. Just have a crew of AEr's ready to go when they spawn. Gather them up and AE them down.

Then at 50% she does AE dispell, 12 buffs. Best to move everyone except the MT and his clerics outside of the Dome. Nukers/Rangers take her down past 50% and then everyone charges back in. Having MGB ready to go for c3+ and aego/virtue is a big help, as well as other buffs ready to go.

About the Gargoyles. She spawns the Gargoyles somewhere around 30-35% (cant remember exactly) they will tear your raid to pieces if not prepared for. They are UNsnarable but they are stunnable by 60+ stuns and can be Kited (dont dmg them, snares/stuns work well). Tanking them at first is suicide as they quad for 1100. Best to have several Paladins/Rangers etc ready to aggro and kite them around the Dome while the raid finished off Terris Thule. Once TT is dead, One by one the kiters bring in their mob and let the MT taunt it off them and kill it. By that time they should all be slow'd and ready for picking.

The Planar Projection that spawns after TT dies does NOT last as long as her corpse is there. It will stay up for 10 minutes then despawn, you must hail it to get the Flag.

Well thats all I have to say. Goodluck raiders

A: Clerics, lots of them, 11+.

B: Necros with raise the dead.

C: Take your time.

D: Everyone except main tank on the butterflies before your raid force gets cut to ribbons.

E: Kite at least one and probably 2 gargs while your raid force kills a garg. Necros, these gargs make excellent pets.

In a perfect world you can have about 5 of these pets wrecking havoc on the other gargs while you try to rez and regroup for the last 40 percent of TT.

Don't need lots of clerics,we just did this with 5 in chain and one outside...total raidforce like 44 people..(and we had 70ish mana in the end, after one chunk off the rod...so could probably do with 4 at least)

Just need to be well disciplined and follow orders as the diferent events take place..

to enter crypt of TT u have to do a maze quest in PoNightmare. See quests in PoN :P

Clearing to TT is easy. TT herself was a hard kill with 45 ppl. Took us 5 tries and 2 wipes with TT below 10% ;)

After u kill her a planar projection spawns. Hail projection and youre flagged for plane of torment.

TT also dropped some chain classes cloak .. dont have screenshot atm but will send in as soon as i got it. Something like 100hp / mana / good stats and a new effect.
btw..

The entrance to the Crypt of Terris Thule is inside the PoN. Check out the quest that gets you in...
http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=2219
Get 3 full groups together and go find Poxbourn to get in.
Poxbourn is in a little hedge garden on the opposide side of the zone from zone in/graveyard.
You can find them by tracking the Forebodeing guardians and then hang a left at the gate they're guarding.
I'm not sure if you can get into the crypt by killing the Foreboding guardians and going through the gate they guard or not.
